Lily Jones is a writer and director specializing inhighly stylized narrative films that use genre, surrealism, and sharp comedic undertones to engage with urgent social themes. Her work blends striking visual language with emotionally resonant storytelling, often challenging audiences to see the familiar in new and provocative ways.

Her most recent short film, Veritas Obscura, is a dark comedy and genre-bending exploration of gender, identity, and institutional power. The film has just completed post-production and is currently screening on the film festival circuit.

 

Lily is passionate about building stories that are both entertaining and thought-provoking, often drawing inspiration from speculative fiction, psychological thrillers, and satire. She believes that laughter and imagination can be powerful tools for social commentary and connection.

Currently based in both New York City and Los Angeles, Lily is actively pursuing opportunities as a Talent Agent's Assistant or Manager's Assistant to gain deeper insight into the business side of the industry while continuing to develop her creative work. She is also seeking collaborators—producers, writers, cinematographers, and other creatives—interested in developing and producing independent short films.
